2020 GCSE Results
Given the unprecedented disruption to the education of all GCSE students, we are delighted that the government has finally seen sense and have taken into account the centre assessed grades. These grades went through a thorough process of internal moderation and accurately reflect the hard work and effort that students had put in, prior to lockdown.
It is really important for all our students to understand that these grades have been the product of their hard work and they should feel proud of what they have achieved.
In the circumstances results are incomparable with previous years, however, we are really proud of all our students and a number of the cohort have achieved an exceptional set of qualifications.
Several students have achieved grades of 7 to 9 in the majority of their subjects, which is equivalent to the old A and A* grades.
Josh Woodbridge, gained nine grade 9’s and a grade 8
Macie Gralton, was awarded three grade 9’s and five grade 8
Ellie Cowsill, achieved three grade 9’s, two grade 8’s and three grade 7
Freya Preston gained three grade 9’s, one grade 8 and three grade 7
Other students gaining several of the higher grades included:
Olivia Thomas, Adam Dearden, Thomas Almond, Daniel Bamford, Sophie Livesey, Stephen Green, Libby Harding.
