Welcome to the Year 6 Transition Zone
This area of our website is especially for all of you Year 6s who are joining us in September.
We know that it has been a really strange time for you, but we want to make sure that your experience of joining us here at Newhouse Academy is a truly excellent one.
Head over to our FAQs page where you will find answers to many of the questions our new families have asked previously.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR PARENTS/CARERS OF CHILDREN DUE TO START IN SEPTEMBER
By now you should have completed and returned a data collection form for your child. If you haven't yet done this please click the link to complete it online.
This is really important and your child will be unable to attend if we don't have this information.
Our Funhouse Summer Academy will take place over 4 days in the summer holidays (22nd, 23rd, 26th and 27th July).
Almost all of our new Year 7s are coming to Summer Academy – it truly has something for everyone with a
roller disco, poetry workshops, a huge Year 7 Art installation in our atrium heart space, a humanities escape room,
sublime science and much, much more – did we mention the UV games room?
If you haven’t registered for a place yet there is still time – we have room for everyone, so get in touch and we can add your child to the list.
Update 30th June 2021 – Summer Academy will be going ahead as planned on 22nd, 23rd, 26th, 27th July and this will be even more important now as it will be our opportunity to get to know each other, for you to find your way around the building – and of course try out all the wonderful activities we have in store for you.
We know that the disruption Covid is causing will be bringing anxiety to some students and families – we are here to talk to you at any time. Please contact Mrs Mears (Head of Y7) or Mrs Gregory-Harris (Deputy Headteacher) at the academy on 01706 369 436 or email@example.com with any questions or concerns that you have.
We hope that you take the opportunity to fully explore our website and find out as much as you can about what it means to be part of the Newhouse community. I look forward to seeing you all at Summer Academy and hope to meet students and families in September when we will have ‘meet the tutor’ evenings in place of the transition evenings.
If parents and carers would like to be able to see some of the things we have been up to you can follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @NewhouseAcademy
