As GCSE exams for the class of 2023 have come to an end, the year group spent a beautiful sunny afternoon in high spirits celebrating.
After refreshments and traditional shirt signing in the dining room, a final assembly was held in the hall. They chatted to classmates and teachers before the assembly held by Head of Key Stage 4, Miss Derrington, and their Head of Year, Miss Turner.
Their form tutors spoke of their time together with some humorous stories stretching back over the years. They were congratulated on their efforts in studying, preparing and sitting their GCSE exams. Miss Derrington thanked them for their contribution to Newhouse Academy life and spoke of exciting futures ahead of them. Miss Turner thanked them for being a great year group and working hard through some challenging times before presenting some awards.
