Post 16 – What Next?

This may be college, an apprenticeship or work.

We have staff in school who can help with advice and decisions.

Miss Jamieson – Career Administrator
Miss Jones – Careers Coordinator
Mrs Pugh – Positive Steps Careers Advisor (2 days a week)

All of our students will have support with their applications, interview practice and skills such as writing a CV. We will have assemblies for Year 11 each Monday morning which will include sessions from each of our local colleges. Support for application to colleges will be available P7 on Mondays in October and November with colleges and Miss Jamieson.

Our careers advisor is available for 1-1 meetings throughout the year and these meetings can be arranged through Miss Jamieson. If your child is unsure of how to access these meetings, they can speak to their form tutor about it.

Our post 16 providers have open evenings, plus a wealth of support and information on their websites.
